Frye Island Things to Do and Community Information
 
Frye Island is located right in the middle of Sebago Lake in the State of Maine. Frye Island has fun built into the island and it has tons of things to do.  Take the nearby Sebago Lake State Park for instance.  With all the parks out there, Sebago Lake State Park is one of the local favorites!  A short trip brings you to a park known for its clean water and accessibility of camping by the lakeside, Visiting Sebago Lake State Park is a great activity for locals of Frye Island. 
 
Located on the north end of the lake, Sebago Lake coincidentally, happens to be the deepest of all the lakes in Maine but second largest lake.  Go camping, stargazing or boating to your hearts content on the lake!
Local eateries are amazing here in the Frye Island area!  The Mosquito and Chutes are local fixtures that you absolutely must try while in town!  Located in the Lake District area, The Mosquito is clearly better than the competition.  Come by after a day trip at the park and try arguably the best ice cream in town! Chute's Coffee Shop is very filling and, at the same time, is very affordable!  Dining at Chutes is always enjoyable for breakfast or lunch! In the Maine Lakes area in the town of Naples, you 'll find another great local eatery. It is called Black Bear Irish Pub in Naples, Maine, This establishment was voted as the Best Caterer in the 2010 Lake Region Weekly Readers Choice Contest Winner.  It's got delicious food that you simply must try when you are ever in the area.
