Western Maine Lakes Real Estate

The Western Maine Lakes and Mountains Region is well known for its gorgeous scenery. You’re going to find a good selection of waterfront properties and investment vacation homes when you browse our featured listings or use the property search to specify what you’re looking for in your dream home.

Sebago Lake

The deepest lake in Maine, Sebago Lake stretches over 45 square miles – that’s over one hundred miles of shoreline where you’ll find plenty of places to play and enjoy. Sebago Lake Park was one of Main’s original state parks and offers a wide variety of activities for all visitors. The parks services maintain two boat launches as well as a public campground within the park. You can enjoy a game of volleyball by the water, have a picnic, hike the shores or swim in the waters of Sebago Lake.

As you might imagine, Sebago Lake is a popular spot for the avid fisherperson. Salmon and smelt populations are high. You’ll also find lake, brook, and brown trout, smallmouth and largemouth bass as well as northern pike. It should be noted that the northern pike population was illegally introduced to Sebago Lake and fisherpersons are encouraged to report catches of the fish to the park officials.

Brandy Pond

The Songo River connects Brandy Pond – actually a small lake – with Sebago Lake. On the south shore of Brandy Pond you will find Scenic Drive, a picturesque neighborhood with a private golf course. Scenic Drive is just one of the neighborhoods that take advantage of prime waterfront properties on gorgeous Brandy Pond.

Long Lake

Connected to Brandy Pond by the Chute River is Long Lake. Like Sebago Lake, Long Lake was created naturally when glaciers receded out of the area. You will find that the glaciers carved out many rocky coves that can be carefully explored. It’s no wonder so many have enjoyed vacation homes along Long Lake for hundreds of years. The view is spectacular. In addition, many wildlife species call Long Lake home. Hear the song of the loon on calm summer evenings.
