Long Lake is a 4,867 acres lake in both Bridgton and Naples, Maine. It is connected to Brandy Pond through the Chute River. Long Lake was creating by receding glaciers and is home to many coves and rocks. There are many summer camps on Long Lake including Camp Newfound, Camp Owatonna, Camp Takajo, and Camp Wildwood. The famous author, E.B. White, owned a vacation home on Long Lake in the North Bridgton section. Long Lake is known as a premier lakefront destination and attracts many seasonal visitors and year-round residents. There are two public boat launches, one in Harrison and one in Brighton. Long Lake is also home to a variety of fish including salmon, pickerel, lake trout, brown trout, brook trout, large and smallmouth bass, and both white and yellow perch.
